Adastra: Update and Art (Patreon)

So I wanted to get something out to you guys before the end of the month. I wish I could show you some upcoming art from Echo, but Scratch is currently in the middle of finals and Stranj is a little backed up with commissions, so it's going to be a bit before we see some new stuff. The other projects are coming along, though, especially Adastra; my little for-fun side project. I thought that I could probably give a little background on it now that I've got a demo coming out soon, along with some sprites and background art!

So the story will center around a human (you) studying in Rome who, through a series of complicated missteps, gets whisked away to the stars by a space wolf (Amicus). While you didn't exactly go with him willingly, he hopes the dire situation he's in will be enough to convince you to help him. That situation involves alien uplift, a pair of suspicious siblings, a persnickety advisor, a cat, a bodyguard, and a throne in dispute. Will you help him?

Amicus will actually have a full sprite set when the first demo comes out. I'm wanting to do that with all of the characters when they're introduced since I've found that to be the most complicated part of making a VN. Haps will be illustrating the sprites and CGs. Since Amicus is the main character, he'll have the most sprites. You've already seen his neutral poses, so here are more expressive ones:

Most of the VN will take place in Amicus' home; a palace on the planet of Adastra. The backgrounds are being drawn by BlackSunDi. Here's the main hall (most of you have seen it already):

Anyway, I'm thinking I'll release the first demo to you guys sometime in June to get some feedback. While Adastra is second to the Echo projects, I have gotten quite a bit done on it in the past several months. And if you're wondering, yes, it will involve a lot of romance and...other stuff...
