Rocks & Moss - by David Cuerdon + Figuring Out Life (Patreon)

This was exactly the beauty I had dreamed about when coming to Southern Illinois! Photographer David Cuerdon was kind enough to meet me here and photograph me in this amazing place! I am in love with the huge grey rocks accented by lush green moss. The weather was pretty hot and sticky, we were grateful to be in the shade of the forest.

***Figuring Out Life***

I just had this realization that it's easier to have a general sense of calmness when you can subconsciously define some kind of structure  or narrative- like back when I had an apartment my narrative for myself was:

 "I live at this apartment, and each month I travel to 2-3 cities, and sometimes overseas, for photo shoots and then I come home, I get homesick a lot, and I get anxious to go back on the road when I am at home too, I am always seeking excitement and never want to be in one place for more than 2 weeks in a row cuz that drives me crazy!"

Now that I have been living in a van for a year, I have had to re-write my narrative. It took a long time to form any sort of senseful shape... but here it is: 

"I live in a van and travel with my love partner, exploring and creating sensual nude art as often as we can, but without breaking our necks or anything! I have less hired photo shoots, but all higher paying, and I try to circle back to my hometown when I can to see my family. When Travis is booked for a job, I use the time while he is working to process/edit/upload the content we created together so I can share it to my subscription sites! I feel more centered than I did before."

I remember a tattoo on an amazing woman's arm, she is an artist, a fine art nude artist as well, and it said "Leap and the net will appear". I definitely felt like I was jumping off a cliff, literally to potential death, when I moved into a van for the first time. I told my friends "It will either be the greatest decision ever or I will get killed by a crackhead in my sleep!" So happy no crackheads have been trying to get into my van lol... seriously though! I van-napped travis late last October and that was also a leap of faith!
