These images... I am super proud to say... are self portraits! They are the LAST self portraits I shot in my old apartment before I moved out. The next post I will show a video about how I manipulated the light to hit me just right. I don't remember the last time I wore "actual pants" for a photo shoot! I really love the texture of these jeans, I started wearing them more often after I did this self portrait session.

***My Photography & Videography***

I have not been as productive in editing videos I have shot for my Emotepro stuff - I have this thing where I sign up as an LLC for something I think will make me look more "professional" so my parents and imaginary people who don't exist in my life will think I am some kind of proper contributing member of society rather than a floozy naked model running around getting my booty photographed for cash LOL. 

Okay that was a pretty extreme statement, I was just trying to be funny, don't take that seriously please! ANYWAY I was getting paying offers for shooting and editing promo videos for other small businesses... but I found I was loathing the anticipation process of shooting the more "commercial" type stuff even though it pays a lot more than the creative stuff... but I LIKE the creative stuff more!

Over the summer I beefed up my LinkedIn profile, did some google adwords and SEO optimization for my "seattle filmmaker/ videographer" services and I was getting some inqiries and gigs... After having to put my unpaid projects on a long-term back burner in order to appease the paying video gigs... I started becoming disenchanted with the commercial work and I long to share more creative stuff... I don't even NEED the money from the commercial work! I just was doing it to appease some unnecessary need for "becoming legit" in the eyes of... no one whose opinion matters enough to be controlling my career!!! 

So I am going to be cutting back on those jobs and get back into just doing what I love! I am finally catching up on some stuff I shot in July, hopefully I will have my next creative video ready to show you all within a few weeks! :)
