"Tour Me" Creative Video + Back to Reality (Patreon)

I know this is the third video already this month, but it's my birthday and I create what I want! Well, my actual birthday is the day after tomorrow... you are going to get a surprise video that day too :) Cuz you give me wings and you deserve to be thanked!

So this "Tour Me" video is pretty intimate, it's not your every day twerk sesh. I wanted to display my body and face-windows in an unapologetic way. I really like how it came out...  

Taking makeup off, pinching and pulling my skin to show scars, loss of elasticity, lines and textures. I didn’t add music, just a vinyl static, made black and white and added some film texture.

It was a really simple edit, nothin crazy. A lot of the videos I shoot of other people I intentionally put all this effort into trying to make it as cinematic and cut to the intricacies of the music as possible. I try to use camera and editing effects I learn about in online classes and interesting transitions and such…

But this simple one I really like... 

There was no camera motion though.. it wasn’t even shot in my pre-decided “favorite” 120FPS … I almost always use 120 fps… but this one was 60. 

But I liked it. I liked it a lot. Why? Is it because of the message? The texture? But don’t my other projects have texture and messages…? Well, I guess not all of them have a message, some are just plain weird. Some are just Hott. 

What do I like, or want to show with my creative videography? Do I want recognition in ability to pull off certain tricks? I definitely enjoy the experimentation process… Sometimes I know I overdo it with the visual effects. I need to learn to sit on my projects longer and let them tell me what they need and don’t need. 

But again, I like the simplicity here....

***Back to Reality*** 

Oh for the afterglow of my glorious creative adventure- woe is me, for it is over and I am back in the seat of my pants, no longer frolicking in Lala land with my mermaid muse… but now in the reality of the corduroy rows in my familiar living room couch. A couch which I may kiss goodbye to soon. This whole apartment, actually. On a surface level, which is all I am comfortable exposing at this point, my living situation is on the verge of drastic change. On a brighter note, I am fantasizing about possibly … mayyybe in the near future living in a van (or RV?) and having a studio space to host my creative gear.
