Sketch Backlog (Patreon)

Here is an exclusive look at my backlog of ideas ( which I've never made public before really).

Whenever I have an idea for a pinup or scene, I always try to scribble it down when it's fresh in my mind and put it in the backlog of ideas. The most critical thing is nailing down the "feeling" of the character interactions, poses, and perspective right off the bat, If that doesn't come through from the first roughs... it's not gonna be a good time fixing those things later, and, it may even just turn out poorly in the end. 

The exercise of doing quick sketches is how I choose what is worth taking further. If I'm not excited about an image at this stage, I may change it more or even discard it. 

Art takes a ton of patience (and time) to finish and it's not worth my time to do the image if I'm not even excited about it from the rough, but sometimes I need to do the rough layout to decide if it tickles my fancy or not. 

For those interested (because the roughs are...well...rough/ I can understand them as notes, but to others it may not be legible), so, here is each image described from top left to bottom right:
