It took a bit longer than I wished, but here is the chapter 10 of an Impractical Guide to Godhood, just in time for the end of 2021.

I am going to begin soon the writing of the next chapter of The odds were never in my favour; I have the foundations of the Second Task, so hopefully it shouldn't take so long. And before the end of January (or sooner) we will return to the story-which-shouldn't be mentioned...

This was great. Thanks so much for posting this! Percy was great blaming everything on Hera and getting away with it, and the cleaning up of a lot of the repercussions. It's going to be interesting to see what happens when they get back to Poisodon's Cabin and get to talking. I liked Annabeth in this chapter as well which is a treat as she didn't really appear as a character in some of the earlier chapters.

I don't know if it has been asked but is Dionysus still friends with any of the Gods that he would have met in India? Since when he went there he was still cursed with MADDNESS and i would imagine that the various Gods/Goddess would veiw that as a form of Enlightenment and might of been interested in the Demigod that was on the Path to becoming a True God on his own. (He probably only needed some guidance to gi the rest of the way)

Hades is a good dad. Turning an attempted usurpation and apotheosis into a parenting experience. I can almost feel the 'proud dad' vibes coming off of him (of course, he can't exactly say that out loud)

Bloody glorious for the first time I'm actually dissapointed about a new chapter about the odds were never in my favour because it means we're not getting more than this. Happy Christmas and a merry new year 😁

A great way to end 2021, Antony. Which was a shite year, but: IT'S ALL HERA'S FAULT!

You're welcome. Yep, Percy was...in blame-mode. Obviously, he needed Hades cooperation. If the god of the Underworld hadn't been on 'his side', things wouldn't have gone so well...

Antony444

Yep, I always felt like Riordan did him a disservice. Of all the Gods he is the one who truly respect his oaths, enforces his promises, and so on...and in return everyone accuses him when something goes wrong.

Antony444

Happy New Year and thanks! Don't worry, the Suicide Squad and Perseus Jackson will return...eventually.

Antony444

Indeed, what simpler explanation is there for the state of the world as it is today? Happy New Year!

Friends...I think that might be greatly stretching the truth. They saw a drunk Demigod going upon a rampage of libertinage, craziness, and explicating to everyone how to make certain types of alcoholic beverage. I think they were more perplexed waking up one day from the countless series of orgies...I mean Bacchanalia. Maybe drinking partners?

On a scale of 1 (totally sane) to 150 (Jackson level of sanity), what do you reckon is the Suicide Squad's level of sanity?

Is it wrong to feel kind of bad for Hera in all this? I mean sure, she may have started this mess, but it's not as if she had any other real options. Any sane person married to Zeus would try to GTFO. But then Hera had the exceptional misfortune to meet Percy Jackson, an insane Tyrant seeking revenge, and somehow ended up being scapegoated for all of Olympus woes. Oh, and there's the slight issue of Olympus effectively in a sate of cold civil war.
