It's a case where appearances can be deceiving still. The Tyrells still control twice as many systems as their opponents combined - it's why they think still have a chance if they can avert immediate doom - but the lost systems themselves puncture the presumption of superiority. Between the dissension, financial black hole, and manpower losses, how much of this is really practical planning, or sunk cost fallacy by desperate Tyrells instead of cutting their losses and accepting defeat?

Yes, the map doesn't account for the fact the Tyrells lost most of their entire pre-war navy and a lot of their army in a couple of battles. Nor does it show how close they were to lose everything with the Lannisters attacking Highgarden.
