Rejoice, Imperial citizens! Due to your excellent services, the most loyal forces of the Astra Militarum have authorised you to glance at the Order of Battle which is sure to win glorious victories in the Emperor's name.

[unfortunately the Inquisition has declared you don't have to know minor details like the equipment of the unit, the battlefield distinctions, and other unimportant information]

Considering how paranoid (rightfully so mind) they are, I'm surprised we got this much. That said, I'm looking forward to updates beyond data feeds :).

Praise the Omnissiah and his Chosen! Isn't that naval force larger than the Battle of the Death Star? It certainly seems to be the case.

I think I will need 5-6 more days to finish Let the Galaxy Burn. After that I will write Shadowpoint 7-1. There will be a December update, that isn't in question.

Antony444

It is. Of course, while the opposition has not an ork planetoid, it also has a lot of warships and the pirates aren't exactly friendly to potential invaders...

THIS GETS ME HARDER THAN TERMINATOR ARMOR

Shadowsmage

Nice she has a bit of everything and even has Praetorians. Always wanted to field them

Boris Michenski

Well that's impressive. While I expected that MLecanicus would be majority of forces coming, it's still kinda horrifing that they constite about 85% of both ground and naval forces. Is Taylor even still in general command? Army Group Carribean which she commands, does it include Macanicus forces or are they from completly separate command structure? And... you say you'll work on Shadowpoint 7.1... does it mean there won't be an Interlude?

Antony444

Please note that the superior officers have roughly two-three subordinates coming from the same planet they call home. So you wouldn't field an army of Praetorians...

Antony444

Taylor is in overall command, yes. You might notice the insects aren't included in the order of battle...the Army Group technically is only the Guard, but she commands the entire force, and as such they are under her command (though of course she needs to be careful with her orders). Oops, the surprise is gone, yeah there will be no interlude. The escalation is about to begin...

HOLY SH*T! I'll probably never understand how you (and other authors) can invest so much time and attention into battle order details and names (oh gods, so many names!). I do have fun spreadsheeting stuff and counting overall troops also could be fun, but such details are completely beyond me x_x

Antony444

Thanks! Though I must say creating the order of battle only required 2-3 days of dedicated work plus a few evenings of modifications. Muster 6-3 alone required far more than that. And it was necessary for Arc 7 and Arc 8...
