Hi, dear readers, and here we are again for a new chapter of The odds were never in my favour.

Chapter 121, April of Strife, to be precise.

I managed to finish yesterday, despite all the thunder trying to stop me (yeah, I am gorced to stop my computer and livebox every time there's thunder, after having a computer knocked out several years ago, you tend to be careful with that sort of things).

This chapter could also be called 'why it's stupid for even a member of the Exchequer to try to beat a Champion of Death at her own game'.

Anyway.

I am going to take a break for 3-4 days, the climate has been way too much of a problem, and I need some fresh air. This won't take that long, and it will allow me the opportunity to be refreshed before beginning the next story on the schedule of August...which will likely be The Dance is not Over, though as always, things may change in the next few days.

Enjoy!

Maybe it's been too long since I read the rest but the near-gloating of Alex at the end.. eh idk, it doesnt sit entirely right. Will you be uploading TWO and Let the galaxy burn to ao3?

Bel

Hmm, I'm not sure about the gloating, but it was still a glorious scene. I guess Alex was once more reminding people that she's still one of the most scary people on the planet. Alex not only has a lot of power, but she's inventive and nasty with other combinations of spell choice, very nice.
