Hi guys,
How is everybody doing?

PROGRESS STATUS

This past week I've mainly worked on animations. There were some animations that really took me time to pose, but I'm really happy with the result. Hopefully next week I'll be able to finish all the remaining animations, since I have only 2 or 3 complex animations left. Everything else is pretty basic.

Once I finish the animations, the remaining renders should not take me more than 3-5 days. So once that is done, it will be a matter of days until my machines finish render the animations.

Some of you remember that I had some problems with the machine that was rendering the animations. Since I don't have the time to set a new computer, I decided to try and fix this one. So for the time being, the second computer is working and since Tuesday, it's been rendering non-stop, however I expect it to just stop working one day, so sooner or later I will have to buy another one, but right now I'm doing my best to keep it working so that I can finish this episode as fast as possible. We'll see what happens after the relase.

ABOUT EPISODE 3

As you know, the episode 3 is split in two parts, but to avoid confusion after the release with the second part, I decided to name this part episode 3 and the next part episode 4, this way nobody gets confused when second part will be released. It will be just like a normal episode, but it will take less to develop since the text is already done and I also have a few renders made.

That being said, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Bests,
Jason

I'm doing great. Replaying NMM atm, I'm currently on S2 EP6 as of today. I've been on it for a couple of nights, on my first playthrough (going to do a second playthrough and catch up soon). Awesome! Thanks for the update. You have a great weekend too, Jason

I hope this rate of releases will not continue. It can fall to 3-4 episodes a year, and then no matter how hight quality episodes are, story development will just die. If there are 10 episodes in a season, and only 3-4 episodes in a year, (and we are on episode 2.5 now), we won't get to the end of the season in any forceable future. And with splitting whole episodes into halfs? Yeh. Multiple paths and high quality animations are great, but if story is going nowhere in real-world months and years, it doesn't matter how good they are.

Yeah, I know what you mean... This episode episode is the biggest one so far... Due to how the story went in the beginning of the season, I had to make an important event with all the girls. Afterall if you just recovered from hospital and so on and you have a girlfriend, it makes sense to at least date her, so having an event with all love interests made sense, but you're right, 3-4 episode in a year is not great. After this episode things should get back to a normal rate... The biggest mistake was adding more than 100 animations in one episode... I've burned a lot of hours on these, especially since most of them have more than 300 fps...

No problems. Just keep in mind that you have to balance story progression and real world time - it might make for an awesome highest quality game possible, but if we are still in season 3 in a year or two, people will stop caring.

The goal is to finish the whole game in 2024. I have no idea how, but I'll do my best not to go in 2025 with this game, obviously without rushing the endings
