In a last-ditch effort to contain the extra-dimensional creature that had breached into the lab, one brave scientist volunteered to serve as bait in order for the others to have the opportunity to escape and call for backup. Fortunately, it didn't take long for him to realize that the creature had no intention of consuming him, and instead, he would in fact, be the one left with a full belly after the encounter ;)
