The anime cut this line from the manga for some reason, but after Bazz-B tanks Toshiro's Vaccum Ice, he tells him that his flames are actually hot enough to offset Yamamoto's shikai flames. That's how he, As Nodt, and NaNaNa survived getting blasted when they tried to jump Yama in episode 6 of Season 1.

Also, in the manga BG9 DOES actually impale Omaeda's little sister. It's pretty dark. I imagine they changed that for the anime because 1) That's pretty f'd up 2) to make Omaeda look more heroic.
