Yeah so you're basically right. All Quincies have a piece of Yhwach in them and that's what manifests their Quincy abilities, Old Man Zangetsu is that piece of Yhwach inside of Ichigo so he is technically "Yhwach" but he's not the same Yhwach he's just a personification of him, he has his own separate will and personality.

It ties to the whole blood thing, also Quincies can't enter their inner world like Soul Reapers do, that's why Ichigo was the only one being able to see him as well.

Also wanted to add that the cloaks that Aizen and co. are wearing are the same ones Urahara used back in the pendulum arc, that are able to completely hide their Spiritual Pressure, that's why none of the Soul Reapers including Ishin weren't able to sense their presence as well. (For some reason, this was cut in the anime.)

Also something to add about the Kenpachi flashback scene, yes, for whatever reason the anime decided to put that scene there, but in fact that was Ichigo's Quincy powers. Stopping the blood was the Blut Vene technique and the power boost (every time Ichigo showed blue eyes) was his Quincy powers. (Ichigo's hollow powers didn't manifest until White took over in the fight with Byakuya and at the same time that happened, Isshin's Soul Reaper powers came back, because he could finally get out of the gigai from Urahara.) Obviously there are exceptions, such as Ichigo saying his hollow mask appeared on his chest when he fought Renji and that might have saved him

Hi I just came here to say that the opening song and the ending song of the next cour is completely spoiler free. I guess the only thing they could possibly spoil is how some characters look. If that's too much for you as a spoil then you can avoid watching. Others can correct me if I'm wrong.

Someone asked kubo if when toshiro and rangiku were at ichigos house they knew that ishinn was their old captain and kubo said that " Yes they recognized ishinn since they were his previous lieutenant and third seat but in a show of respect they did not act or comment on it" since he must have been hiding for a reason they respected it and kept quiet

In quincy culture, it is very heavily with the whole idea of pure bloods, and mix bloods, that is what echt (echt = pure/ real ) means and since the quincies were almost extinct in the world of the living, there were only very few families of pure blood quincy left, and masaki was the only survivor of the kurosaki family which was a pure blooded family, so ishida's grandmother , took her in, bc as i said she was a pure blood and they are seen as very valuable. ichigo and ishida are not blood related, and that is why ruyken thought of the idea of marrige, bc they were both pure quincies and it would continue with their heritage.

28:40 if you remember in og bleach during the turn back the pendulum arc, urahara created a cloak that would hide spiritual preassure, that is what aizen, gin , and tosen were using, that is why ishinn didnt recognize aizen

old man zangetsu, he is ichigos manifestation of his quincy powers, when he says i am yhwach and yet i am not, he means as in he LOOKS like yh and has a connection to yh since old man is quincy powers and is directly connected to yh, but he is not under yh control and doesnt think like yh,that is what he meant as "yet i am not" he is his own person with his own thoughts

If you're still struggling w/ the Asauchi, think of them like the default sword - Oetsu created the blank template swords that all Soul Reapers imprint their spirit onto, which become their Zanpakotou.

The way I understood it, just as how the soul reapers powers take on a physical form, the quincies power take on a form of Yhwach. When old man Zangetsu said HE would have to kill Ichigo, I think he meant his real self. He knew he would come back and wage war against the soul reapers. Ichigo is running with the soul reapers so Ichigo would have to fight Old man Zangetsu's real self eventually. Yhwach

Lol haters complain that Kubo doesnt plan shit or foreshadow. Well I say this entire arc shows just how good of a writer he is. For the next cour, u can react to this opening and dont have to skip the new one since it doesnt have any spoilers, just minor teases that dont really come to fruition. One part that was cut out in the flashback was Isshin was giving White the work so Aizen stepped in to slash him from the back. He did so to prevent Isshin from using his bankai, which apparently takes a strain on his body. But Aizen was surprised at how strong Isshin was that he was pushing White in only shikai. If u recall, White was dogwalking a full powered up second release Ulquiorra into the dirt literally. So that goes to show u just how strong Isshin (and others on his level like Shunsui/ Ukitake/ Unohana) are using only their shikai.

I rewatched it and yeah I guess it stands out as a manga reader tbh but I don't think it really stands out if you have no idea what's to come. But if you have that opinion then maybe it's safe to stay out of it

Now u see why Mugetsu is so powerful. Ichigo basically lost two power, White representing both soul reaper and hollow and Yhwach representing his Quincy power.

Ishin probably didn't recognize Aizen's spiritual pressure since he was wearing that Black cloak Urahara developed which hid spiritural pressure. Urahara wore it during the pendulum arc to sneak out and look for Hiyori.
