The whole ichigo having no goal thing is the one thing that gets me somewhat heated. Its simple, a teenager with survivors guilt wants to make sure he doesn't lose anyone else. Pretty solid goal. No shade to Naruto and One Piece (both amazing shows that i am a fan of too) but running around every episode yelling I'm gonna be Hokage or Pirate King, does not make that goal any more relevant. Like, dude, I get it, stop telling me and do the damn thing. Apologies if this comes off as rude to fans of those series, but damn, show don't tell. If you want to look at it more fairly, Naruto's journey for acceptance by the hidden leaf is where the emotional payoff is, while ichigo's journey of self acceptance is his payoff. So people can say what they want about goals, I'm here for character development. This has been my Ted talk. I'll go back to 1 to 3 sentence comments now.

Ohhh man I can't wait for the next few episodes. In my opinion this is the best WAR arc in anime bro.. the way this whole shit goes down is straight bananas.

So the majority of Voice Actors are from OG Bleach even the LEGENDARY Shiro Sagisu returned for this Arc to do the Music. Kubo also have complete supervision of this whole TYBW arc so he's been able to add EXTRA content and prolong some fights that were in the manga also. It's been nothing but a masterpiece. I'm glad you're doing 2 ep rather than 1. It just makes sense.

Caught this right before work! Glad you reacted to the that special ending, NGL, when I first saw that, it got me a little emotional. There was a point (at least for me) where I thought, that's it for Bleach, it's done and we won't be getting anything, so to finally get to see that first episode animated than seeing the special ending recapping OG, it got me feeling feeling some type of way, hitting me in the feels lol. Btw the artist to that special ending is Tatsuya Kitani (the songs name is Rapport) but he's also the artist of Cour 1's opening. The first official ending catches on the more you listen to it, trust me (I feel the same way for Cour 2 ending as well, it just gets better the more you listen to it). You might also notice some small visual changes here and there to the ending as you continue throughout cour 1.

I never noticed Deku's VA! That's crazy 😅..But yeah, I'm sure you'll definitely recognize some VA's for sure, in cour 2 as well. A fun fact about Sasakibe, his eyes here in TYBW are originally drawn like that in the manga (all white no pupils) where as in the OG anime, he had pupils. It sucks we didn't get to see his character much, but you can tell how much respect Yama had for him, I mean, the man was his lieutenant for thousands of years! The loyalty was second to none.

I'm saying....He's the most relatable/realistic MC as far as "goals" wise (from the Big 3). Especially for a High School student, who's dealing with the cards he's been dealt with. I'm always bumping heads with One Piece and DragonBall fans the most.

When I was watching this for the first time the Quincy that gets introduced in this episode already became one of my favorite characters. Dripped out, black air force energy, amazing va, and my dude got the teashade glasses on. Kubo absolutely nailed the German soldier look here, so unique

Ichigo’s character is amazing and I love how Kubo handles him. I’m remembering what you said after the Fullbringer Arc plot twist. “You know how bad you have to be feeling to break down crying in front of your enemy?” Like damn. That scene was rough to watch.
