July 2017 Update (Patreon)
Content
In other news, I've been happily doing contract work for Lab Zero. Doing tiedown animation for Indivisible has been a wonderful experience, and I hope it leads to even more opportunities for me in the future as a professional.
In not so happy news, I've been going through a bit of a personal tragedy over the past few months. I've been experiencing some grief due to the circumstances. I want to apologize for my absence as of late. My intention is not to cause worry for anyone, and I am certainly not looking for pity. But I do think I need to reassess how I'm managing my Patreon, which brings me to my last topic:
I'm thinking of changing the Patron rewards. I feel a guilty knowing everyone is pledging money when I have my professional goals and real life issues preventing me from giving you guys more attention. I might remove the $10 reward completely, because $10 pledges seem a bit much for my tastes. To me, Patreon is less of a business and more of a tipping service, where those who really appreciate my work can show their support. I'll probably keep a minimum of $5 for seeing things I wouldn't normally post publicly; like private original work or works in progress.
I really just want people to donate whatever they're comfortable with. And definitely don't feel obliged to give me money! It sounds really gross and sappy, but I guess I'm just worried about everyone who's pledging.
Sincerely,
Match
