Hello everyone! Welcome to August!

This month is the first time that we'll be vending at Denfur and we are very excited to be there. How many people are we going to be seeing there? Be sure to check us out in the Dealer's Den!

August 4th - Fountain Dragon

We'll be starting off the weekend with the Fountain Dragon release! You might recognize this design from the con pins we had at Anthrocon. :)

Also releasing this Friday are: July Patreon leftovers, the Cancer Shop Variant, Silver Rainbow Tea animals (all eleven designs), Flynn remake.

August 11th - Opalescent

The weekend after that, we'll be releasing the Opalescent Fox. Woo!

August 18th - Denfur Time!

During Denfur, we won't be releasing any new pins in our shop, as we'll be bringing them to the convention. We're looking forward to seeing everyone there, though! It's going to be a fun time.

We'll be taking our Denfur 2023 pins, which you can see above. We'll also be bringing the Teatime Ribbon Fox, which you can see below :)

August 25th - Denfur Remainders

We will be bringing our Teatime design to Denfur. If there are remainders left after the convention (for both the Teatime design and the Denfur 2023 pins), we'll stock them in the shop on August 25th.

Pride Month Shipping Updates

As an update for everyone, we are currently only waiting on the "Natural Animal" silver-plated set. After we receive those, we'll have all of our Pride Month pre-orders shipped. Look forward to getting those soon!

Cryptids Shipping Updates

The cryptid pins have been slowly trickling in, and we have been fulfilling our orders as we get the pins in. Looking at the backend, we have 142/668 orders shipped so far. We will continue fulfilling packages as more pins come in. The manufacturer expects to ship the remaining pins soon!

New Ita-Bag Design: Sling-Ita Bag

While at a theme park, we like using sling bags over the cross-body bags as they're easier to transport, but really missed having our pins with us. So we created the following design:

The prototype turned out really nice, so we're looking forward to stocking this item in the coming months (probably 2-3 months from now).

New Plush Design: Mochi Toby

We recently put in an order for our big Trans Toby plushies. They're made of mochi and are so soft and cuddly! We're hoping to get these in within the next few months as well.

New Planned Kickstarter: Egyptian Gods

Over the last few months, we have been working on our newest Kickstarter project - Egyptian Gods. This is a project we expect to launch sometime in the first quarter of 2024 (likely in March 2024).

Previews - Anubis, Osiris, and Seshat

This project seeks to spread knowledge by representing the Egyptian gods with respect to their iconography and their place in Ancient Egyptian religion. Each design takes into account both textual attestations and extant visual depictions to display a deity within the context of their civilization. 

In the examples above, Anubis takes part in the heart-weighing judgment scene, Osiris is portrayed on his throne in Duat, and Seshat is shown writing down records on papyri. This project also seeks to incorporate accurate representations of the color schemes found throughout Ancient Egyptian artwork with a focus on color symbolism and the use of color.

Preview of Information Card - stẖ Sutekh, Set, Seth

Each design will come with an information card composed of a few paragraphs about the deity, a chosen attestation from the textual records translated into English, and how to write the deity's name in hieroglyphic writing and hieratic (the cursive form of hieroglyphic). 

The above is a sample of the information cards that will accompany each deity, though the final ones will look much nicer... :)

This endeavor is part academic project and part creative project, and we hope it can be both educational and entertaining for our community. And for those engaged in Egyptology, we hope that you will find our list of planned deities exciting (hint: it's long, and there's a good chance your favorite will be represented!).

August Pin Club

For those of you who had the fortune of surviving Patreon's billing mishaps, you'll be receiving the August Pin Club package at the end of August. If you are still dealing with a payment decline, don't worry - Patreon has indicated they're working with their payment processor to fix the problem.
