Definitely interesting video, looking forward for the rest. If you are looking for some feedback, the Magnemite part just rubbed me slightly the wrong way. It feels like you are proposing plausible guidelines for how a Pokemon might have been designed, but by choosing Magnemite (and claiming it's steel type informs the color) kinda feels like it weakens the point. I know it's supposed to just be an example, but if so I feel like maybe it could've been approached slightly differently; offering some plausible explainations? If I were to offer suggestions, here are a couple: 1) Choose a different Pokemon (ya, this is pretty extreme, and honestly probably not worth the time) 2) When you get to color, suggest something along the lines of maybe this one doesn't/won't need color hints, since magnets are already electric evoking enough, or we don't want every electric pokemon to be yellow, or something else plausible. Or similarly, perhaps say something like "let's try without a color for now, and see if it still looks good"? Also (this is just my opinion), but in this case, I think it'd be neat if you didn't mention Steel at all unbtil the end, then mention how well it fits Steel when gen 2 adds it (something like "Oh, now we are adding steel and this one looks like a great fit for that"). 3) Reframe it as a concept artist proposing steel as a type (or working from that initial idea). So basically the entire design goes the same, but at the end steel is scrapped (and then added again later). Anyway, I do say this with the attempt to be helpful. If you aren't looking for this type of feedback, I apologize. I do want to reiterate, overall I'm very interested in the rest of the video, just wanted to write out some thoughts about something that I thought could be made better (at least in my opinion).

Finally got around to checking this out. I love it's chill yet informational(?) styled vibe. It certainly hits a very specific audience though. Because it seemed to fall on the more serious side of your writing style I could see it not performing as well as the status quo (Crap Guides). I think the length of the final product is going to be a large player in that aspect. That being said I found it super interesting and something the check out before bed. Looking forward to the final series.

definitely useful feedback, and wish I had seen this before I completed the video. unfortunately it was too far along and I really wanted to get it out and not keep Dan waiting. Appreciate the input and will keep it in mind for future videos, thanks for taking the effort to write this really in depth reasoning, and I totally agree it does weaken the magnemite part a bit, and the point as a whole.
