Weekly Newsletter #3 (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

Unfortunately, in today's newsletter, I'm not feeling as upbeat to share the news. However, I still think I should share it with you all.

Sadly, about the game jam I mentioned I'd participate in, I won't be participating for two reasons. Firstly, the game jam's theme is 'Animals with Jobs', and I spent quite some time trying to think on ideas that would be cool, fit the theme, and give me an opening to work on something within the Yumyverse story. But I couldn't nail it—things are coming out either too absurd or straying too far from the theme. So, I felt it was unnecessary to force something that didn't fit.

Another reason is that I couldn't get ahead with my commissions to free up time for the game jam. If I participate in the game jam anyway, it would have impacted the vacation I plan to take from December 8th to January 5th. So, for the sake of my vacation, I'll focus on finishing the commissions instead of participating in the game jam.

The good news is that I haven't given up on creating a game with my OCs, so somehow, that game will still happen. Once I return from my vacation, I'll figure out a way to work on it alongside commissions and the art I post here.

Well, I'm looking forward to these holidays; I believe I really need this break. I've been working as a pixel artist since 2019 and haven't taken a vacation since then. I won't be traveling anywhere, just lying down, playing games and watching series for an extended period.

I think there will still be art on Patreon and Twitter during this time, but they'll be fairly simple things.
