The heroines we deserve 😌 and imo the "classic" lantern costume is so much better than whatever they gave Kelly on the show

Nope, they gave her a Guardian costume with an extremely plastic-y looking shield and the irreplaceable "peripheral vision? nah, my villains will all have the grace to come from the front" helmet

Yeah, since the costume is manifested by the will of wearer she could make it more hers. Like, I'm not a fan of the shin guards (though they are useful for the street hero who kicks the baddies) and definitely not one of the helmet, but there are elements that could highlight the whole aesthetic in blue. Also the hairstyle freed from the helmet? That would be a fine fine look
