Well, I finally was able to get something out.  I'm much happier sharing this than I was with the original Alpha release but I was still surprised to find that in general, I still need more time to get the basic things done.

At this point, however, I find it important to share SOMETHING with players.  From here, you see where the base of the game is and I can comfortably work towards improving things.  I know this build won't meet everyone's expectations, it's just something I have to come to terms with.  Otherwise the first update wouldn't be out for many more months.

A lot of time was spent with the first day of this game to really set the mood, set some of the characters up, and create a (hopefully) strong first impression for players!  The decision to delay the build meant I was able to include cool things like the news broadcast (originally this was a black screen & text).  

IMPORTANT: This is one of the first, if only updates where the public release will come out 7 days later.  This is because in 3/4 days, I'm hoping to upload ANOTHER update (Beta 0.1.1) which will add in even more of those smaller details.  For example, the dialogue of the characters isn't done yet.  Small things like this that I frankly ran out of time to add and admittedly, I'm mentally gassed out atm.  So stay tuned for that as this is sort of a two-part release!
