Story 6 Progress (FX + BG + Polishing phase, No Spoilers) (Patreon)

Story 6's main animation is done! That means all the acting & story decisions are done. This puts us at 100% done with storyboards and 85% done with the animation overall.

What's left will be 3-4 weeks of intense electricity FX animation and background work. Followed by a healthy dose of compositing to for a more polished look. I've decided to heavily rely on batching (assembly line method), instead of my normal "make polished scenes from scratch" one after the other. I'm hoping for a consistent, and faster final product.

I'll be publicly releasing more information and scenes from the animation in anticipation for the April premiere. Rest assured, I'm very sensitive to spoiler-content, so I won't reveal too much.

Release Date Trailer Incoming

Now that the animation is almost done, I have a ton of footage to work with. Next week I'll be trying out some fun 3D stuff in Blender to put together a release date trailer. Speaking of which, the planned release date for Story 6 is April 14th. There'll be a couple videos/previews to remind yall as it approaches.

Other News

After rummaging the Newgrounds forums, I discovered a cool little animation site called Fiyah.tv. It's goal is to become a solid platform for animated series, kind of like a Netflix for web animation. Being a brand new site, they recently held a launch contest - for cash prizes, anyone could submit their animated series to the site to enter. So I did! I spent an hour uploading most of my Gildedguy animations. Unlike Youtube, I really like how the presentation style is "series" focused.

The results came in on Feb 21, I got 8th place out of idk how many entered. The website is now streaming some of my animations on the front page, which acts like a sort of TV line up, with a set schedule of content.
