Saturday Update! (Patreon)

Hello again friends! It's nearly the end of July! 

I hope you're managing to stay cool! Anyway, let's get into the update :)

I had a very slow start this week. I went to family wedding last weekend and ended up awake all night with a hangover [ after a week of barely sleeping ] so for Monday and Tuesday I crashed really hard and got very little done ^^;

But I managed to get my shit back together on Wednesday and got back into the writing flow and still managed to get a fair amount of script written I think!

I completed the script for Day 3, which is a new day in the script [ the original game had 2 days of torture, then the ending day. This game has 3 ]

I used an element from an ending I cut for being boring and souped it up, giving it a lot more attention and hopefully changing a weaker part of the old game into something a lot stronger in the new one.

So now I have 3 chunks of script left to write:

• Night 3 [ which is fairly complicated- the player might not do anything on night 3, but there is the possibility to do a lot. There will be a very in-depth sequence in there ]
• Day 4 [ Which is less robust- it's really more just two possible endings ]
• 5 'loose' endings which don't actually have a specific time to occur in the script, and are instead triggered by stats [ like the ending in the original where you run out of HP ]

Still a fair amount of work, but I'm gonna just keep trucking as usual and we'll get there eventually!

I also tried scribbling out some hairstyles for Ren because I still feel like I'm unsure of what I want

Buuuut I'm still not sure. I think I just need to keep experimenting and maybe do some higher effort sketches.

I also feel like I'd like to do a trial run for ink weight and shading approach for my sprites. But that's not a very high priority right now since I still need to finish the script and then put in actual placeholders for all the art.

But it doesn't hurt to think about it!
