CG Completion: 91/181

Hello again friends!

I can finally say that I'm officially halfway done the CGs!

I had some minor struggles, but I managed to fill my quota and get my work done last week. It's a very good feeling ^^;

Let's get straight into it then, eh?

First up is Celia! I had fun with this one because it was interesting to get back into character art after so long a break, and because I think every time I take a break my art style gets a little creepier. Thank god I'm working on a horror game LMAO

If you're wondering about the strange visual effect there on top, it's meant to be the inside of a plastic bag. Sorry MC ^^; [ and yes, I did crawl into a clear garbage bag to take ref shots for this LMAO ]

As you can see, this is not really a typical CG ^^; More like an effect? But it was in my CG to-do list so here it is! 

I needed this for a more 'surreal' scene. I had a lot of fun making it! I had to google how to animate fire and honestly I think I did a pretty okay job! It's also worth noting that Ren'Py doesn't actually support gifs at all- what I have to do with something like this is simply upload every frame as an image, then write an animation myself that calls in each image after a 0.2 second pause. For this reason, I kept it down to 7 frames.

Last up, it's the Lizards again. When I was prepping to do this CG, I realized that this one [ and two others that go with it that I'll be doing soon ] are super SUPER similar to ones I already did >_< I had to consider my options [ rewrite the scene, cancel the new CGs and just use the old ones in two places, or come up with something to make these ones unique ]

I went with the third option and decided to do different lighting- a sort of 'nearly silhouette' type thing. I honestly really enjoy the look [ I think it's creepy ], and it's actually a bit easier than my usual shading, so it's kind of a win-win.

I feel pretty good about last weeks productivity! I don't usually get 3 CGS done in a week [ my quota is 2.5 ] but the fire thing only took me a single day.

Speaking of schedules- I should mention two things for next week!

• Sorry for being late again with the credits list! I'll be putting the new credits list out tomorrow!

• I might have to take a sick day or two next week ^^; I know I just started getting my ball rolling again but I have my second covid vax shot appointment on Monday and there's a chance it'll hit me hard. The first made me quite sick for around half a day and people say the second shot hits harder, but we'll see. Hopefully I magically don't get side effects LMAO
