Current CG completion: 17/183

Hello friends! It's a new Saturday and a new work month! I think my first month of digging into the CGs has gone quite well if I do say so myself! I'm about exactly on expected schedule and I'm happy with the quality of the CGs so far [ which says a lot cuz I am picky asf ] So I really haven't got anything to complain about!

I've even been doing better in terms of health ^o^ I was kinda struggling last week because I just tapered off and quit coffee/caffeine to try and help my anxiety. So last week I was experiencing muscle soreness, intestinal distress, and nightly headaches [ I legit was starting to get a little worried. quitting coffee is apparently a bitch ] but now those symptoms are going away! :D Time will tell if it does anything for the anxiety...

Anyhow! IT'S CG TIME! I hope you like bears x'D

This one's a bit dark, especially on Patreon's white ass website, but this would be the first bear I ever painted x'D It was strange but I did have fun!

Bonus: This is the placeholder thumb I had for this CG

Are you thinking 'Oh boy, I can't wait to see more bears!'?

Too bad! I have more bears!

Okay I'm actually proud of this one. I was lucky to find so many references! People love taking photos and videos of bears!

But oh my god, the flats. I have never been more sure a picture will turn out horrible during the flats only to be pleasantly surprised later.

Here are.... the flats

Yeah....

Alright alright, I'm done with the bear business. But not with CGs! I also finished a Celia CG

I like how this one came out ^o^ I honestly think I'm starting to get better at painting... I'm also learning some new little tricks! I was able to adjust my background ref pics and sketches to get that fisheye effect a lot more easily by going into photoshop's Filter > Lens Correction > 'Custom' tab on the right > then mess with the 'geometric distortion', 'vertical perspective' or 'horizontal perspective' sliders. The nice part about doing this instead of using a warp tool is that you can apply the same exact warp to more than one image super easily.

You'd think I'd stop finding new tools in photoshop after using it for 16 years [ including 1 year of taking a photoshop course in a college ] but here we are LMAO!

And that's it for last week! I feel like I got a lot done, so I'm feeling good! I've got the sketch going for the next Celia CG, and after that I'm probably gonna jump paths again. I kinda like this rotation thing I have going on because it keeps things from getting too samey xD

That's it for this week's update! I'm gonna do the Credits update next weekend so it'll probably come out with the next Saturday update~

Thank you so much for your support!!! I feel like I'm learning so much and I'm so lucky to be able to work on what I want. I'm eternally grateful!

As always, it's an absolute pleasure to work for you <3 See you next week!
