Saturday Update! (Patreon)

Hello friends! It's that time of the week again!

Current CG completion: 7 / 183 [ one CG was a leftover thumb I missed from a section that got rewritten a while ago so it's out of 183 now ]

So, I'll start with the general update! 

Last week was a bit of a doozy for me, to be honest. With daylight savings and the sudden increase in darkness messing up my circadian rhythm [ it's pitch black out at 5pm this time of year here x'D ], I've been a little short on sleep. I think that's contributing to a stress spike that I need to keep a good eye on.

I also think that I really need to temper my expectations about my own productivity. I keep doing the math about 176 images times 2 work days each and the fact that a year has 250 work days. One of my CGs took a bit over two days and that made the bad math even worse.

But I have to take a deep breath and remember that I'm the one who said 'a year'. This has already been more than a year of work.

I have to step back and see the whole picture. What's the point in panicking about time limits when I only have two options? To continue or give up? I know I sure as fuck am not giving up, so why bother torturing myself with math?

It's even more silly when I ask myself why I'm even pushing this hard to finish faster. I guess there's a part of me that thinks if I take too long, I'll lose my chance somehow.

But that line of thinking is just as unfounded as the bad math. 

So! I have a logical argument against my stress. I'm thinking at this point, my job is repeat this to myself until my subconscious gets the message too. 

Let's give it a try! xD

Meanwhile, let's slap up some CGs! Only two for this update because the one I'm working on right now is both uncoloured and super spoilery so I can't show it x'D

For our first 'character' CG, we have Derek! It was fun to have more freedom in posing and shading! This CG has an alternate version with a different expression but I'll keep that to myself for brevity's sake :) 

Also, fun behind the scenes trivia: I had to google how to get a timer to count down before my phone took a selfie to be able to make a pose ref for myself x'D it took an embarrassingly long time

And we also have Celia :D This is the one that took the over-time because it has two versions and a fully drawn background. This image is actually censored too but you can't really tell. Let's just say I left the important part out LMAO

I supposed I was in the mood to draw crouching poses x'D The 3rd one I worked on is different but like I mentioned, can't post that one.

And that's about it! Another week down! And eyes to the future.
