Saturday Update! (Patreon)

It's time for a good old fashioned  game update friends! And what a fine, fine, revolutionary day to write an update :)

Current CG completion: 3/184

And I bring more good news! Last week went very smoothly and I have two and half CGs done, just as I hoped! Well, maybe more like 2.25 but I can tighten my sketch up on Sunday!

No censorship today, I deliberately went with simple inanimate paintings for the first couple because I was nervous about my full screen art abilities x'D

The first thing I decided to tackle was donuts! This was a really fun and challenging first pic because I've never painted donuts before x'D I had a lot of fun making up flavours though. If you tilt your head to the right and read the donuts like a book, the flavours are: 

plain with vanilla buttercream and caramel drizzle, galaxy blue with wildberry filling, plain with chocolate icing, a 'honey cruller' [ please god don't judge me for that one they're so hard to paint ;-; ], amaretto with roasted almonds, chocolate with cappuccino icing and sprinkles, sakura strawberry ★, mint chocolate [ my fav ], maple crunch with special maple candy, trans rights crunch, and cococarrot cake!

I made those up so if some of them don't make sense you'll have to file a complaint with the pasty division.

Next up! Is fire!

It's probably easy to guess whose path this belongs on xD This one really tested my 'painting from real life' skills and I'm feeling genuinely pretty good about the results! 

Before this project, I used to think I couldn't paint at all- but after forcing myself to do it so many times with the backgrounds, I'm starting to actually get kinda comfortable with it! 

The last one is just a sketch because I've only had the one day to work on it so far and an embarrassing amount of work time went into figuring out how to make my phone's camera wait for 10 seconds before taking a selfie for the ref because I couldn't move my little goblin finger far enough to press the picture takey button HHHHHH

But it's on its way to being creepy already x'D Not sure if that's my art style or just Derek being Derek but it's appropriate so I'll take it! This one will end up being split into two final CGs since I wanted a version with a different expression. 

Future me is gonna be thanking past me for picking the desert environment when I'm doing the CGs and all I have to do for the background will be a blue sky and a bit of out of focus sand (◡‿◡✿) hehehehe~

Tomorrow I'll be posting the credits list from September- sorry for the long wait on that but I figured that posting it during my month off could lead to people missing it ^^;
