Saturday Update! (Patreon)

Hi everyone! It's time for another update!

The neutral side-sprites are now complete! After all the characters in Derek's route, the other two routes were a breeze.  I can't show you all of them for spoiler reasons, but I can show Celia and Mason :D

And I'm very pleased with those!

But unfortunately I must report that I really dropped the ball on Thursday and Friday. I finished my Mason sprite last- and despite the fact that I find him the hardest to draw, I felt very satisfied with the work! Since I was feeling so confident, I tried working on Mason first for a full-body sprite.

And.... that went poorly. I couldn't get the sketch to look right. I became really frustrated with my inability to get a good sprite pose and body shape down. I got really locked up and I started getting mad at myself for not getting enough work done... it can be a slippery slope mentally with things like this.

But, I now have the weekend to chill out and reset my mind. I'm also aware of what the problem is and I'm going to approach from another angle on monday [ I will save the sketch of mason for now and work on a different full-body sprite for someone I would feel is easier to draw ].

I don't like weeks where I have to report that I didn't perform as well as I hoped, but it's more important to me to stay really honest about production with you guys and let you know when we hit bumps in the road. I can at least say that I'm fully aware of what the issue is and I think I can work around it when I get back to work!
