Hello again folks! It's time for another update!

I gotta apologize first off because this week wasn't as productive as last week ._. I had a Bad Day™ on Wednesday and then was completely away from home for all of Friday. I think I might try and squeeze in a bit of work tomorrow to make up for it.

I did get some important stuff written though! I mostly continued where I left off and got the rest of the content for Komodo and Dragon done- which means it's now possible to meet Tom!

A recurring theme in the desert path is approaching situations at the correct time. Events will be happening between the hunters and captives and it will up to the player to intervene or miss them. So for instance, what I was working on this past week is writing versions of events for finding Komodo and Dragon before they find Tom, finding them WHILE they have Tom and finding the scene after they've uhh.... 'interacted' with Tom.

Likewise, there's a certain action you can take that will result in you taking the position that Tom would normally occupy. If you take this action after your window of opportunity with Tom, you'll run into someone else entirely.

The challenge of writing this path is keeping these possibilities compatible with each other and keeping where each character is in mind. I anticipate the challenge getting harder as the plot goes on and characters are possibly alive or dead. From every event past 24 hours into the game, I'll have to write versions of events for if Tom is alive or dead.

I have to admit, I'm enjoying this challenge a lot and the bizarre way of writing things XD

Anyway!! As for what I've done, I've finished events with Komodo and Dragon, and I've moved on to events surrounding Jack and Jaqueline [ I kind alike how these names lined up- it wasn't intentional but I like it XD ]. I've written one event with Jack to simply make one area more perilous for the player, but next week I'll be getting into the meat of their place in the overall plot.

Looking forward to writing next week! I'm glad I seem to be having a smooth-ish time writing lately, because writing can be really hard for me X'D It won't be too long now [ I anticipate around halfway through next month ] until I'll be done with the writing and then we'll move onto Phase 2! [ first wave of 'testing', drawing backgrounds, and making edits to the writing based on testing ]

That's about all I have to report for now! Thank you so much you guys for your support!!! <3
