Looking For Alpha Testers + Merch Update (Patreon)

Hello again folks! I need to bother you with a rare Wednesday Update because it's time for me to lay out my needs/wants for Alpha Testers and I have a merch update for yall!

I'll start with the merch update since I think a higher percentage of people will be concerned about that:

I checked my tracking number this morning and was shocked to see that the shipment is apparently coming tomorrow!?

So, I'll need a day to go through the boxes, organize everything, take product photos of the new daki, and make new listings. Since that would be Friday, I think the best course of action would be for me to actually drop the restock + new dakis on Monday [ this way instead of losing my weekend and being tired, I can pack/ship things while my new alpha testers are playing the rough copy of the game and finding bugs for me ]

SO! Until further notice, the restock will happen on April Fool's Day [ April 1st ]. I promise you there is no fuckery, that's just how things are shaking out 😂

And now for the part about looking for Alpha Testers!

If you are interested in becoming an Alpha Tester, please read through the following carefully.

What I absolutely need from an Alpha Tester:

• has time to play the game thoroughly multiple times in different ways over the course of the next 1 or 2 months

• has a discord account and is willing to join a small temporary testing server

• is willing to show me a photo of ID through email [ I must ensure Alpha Testers are over 18, and I need to know a legal name for a Non Disclosure Agreement. ] ID and legal name will remain strictly between us privately and will not be shared in any form with other testers or any other party.

• is willing to sign aforementioned NDA [ Non Disclosure Agreement ]: you will not be allowed to discuss the game with ANYONE. Not friends, not family, not a private discord. Please, this is incredibly important at this early stage of the process. [ Beta Testers will not have to worry about this, this is just for Alpha Testing ]

• is willing to view all content in the game. If you have serious triggers that could affect your ability to see all of the game content, then please do not apply for alpha testing- my list of warnings is very rough and new, and part of alpha testing will be to help me flesh out the warnings list so that future players can be more sure and safe in their gameplay.

• is willing to download copies of the game repeatedly [ we will go through several versions together as I fix bugs ]

About the Discord:

• this will be a very small server exclusively for Alpha Testing. It will be deleted after 1 month [ or 2 months if we need that long ]

• there will be no moderation, only me and the 5-10 Alpha Testers. Because of this, I expect everyone to keep conversations generally about alpha testing and to be able to behave respectfully and in a businesslike manner. If someone is unable to get along with other testers, they will be removed from testing [ please don't make me do this ]

• this is a more personal request but I ask that all Alpha Testers not discuss social media in the server. I don't want to know what's happening on social media, I just want to be able to get my work done.

What I am looking for in an Alpha Tester [ not all required but things I am looking for ]

• previous game testing/QA experience

• game development or renpy experience

• editing/writing experience

• ability to get along with others and work on a team

• willingness to make suggestions and critique [ don't be terrified of hurting my feelings! ]

• willing to give up a lot of the surprise and joy of playing the final copy of the game. I'm serious about this one, Alpha Testing is the least fun testing and you really should only apply if you're very interested in being involved in improving the game and willing to make that sacrifice.

How to Apply

If you have read the above and are still interested in Alpha Testing, please send me a DM here on Patreon with a list of your experience and any other factors that you think will make you a good candidate for Alpha Testing.

I will only need 5-10 people- if a lot of people apply, I may not have time to reply to everyone except for the people I choose for testing. Please don't be angry with me if you're not chosen 🙏😭
