Hi everyone.

It saddens me to write this post, but I need to explain to you what happened in the last 12 hours and the measures we're going to take to prevent such events from occurring again.

Tonight, a lot of users submitted a 12$ pledge. Ten users, if I remember correctly; but then, just a few hours later, those users deleted their accounts. Not the pledge itself, but their very accounts. I believe that those people (or it could be just a single person at this point, I don't know) created an account on purpose, to see the rewards for 1.50$, 5$ and 12$ tiers and then, once they obtained what they wanted, they simply fled.

Of course, I'm not going to say that I wasn't expecting something like that to happen. However, having 10 people fake pledging 120$ dollars all at once was a little depressing. That's why we decided to change approach, in order to protect both ourselves and the patrons who genuinely support us:
From now on, all the posts on Patreon will contain just a preview of the content we're going to release. On every post, there'll be a link to download a compressed archive which contains the original art, but this archive will be protected by a password. There'll be a password for every type of content (Cupcakes, Brownies, Doughnuts, etc...) and it'll change every month. Once your pledges are processed at the start of the month, we'll send you a password to access the content you've paid for, for the current month.
(NOTE: if your payment has been declined, you won't receive any password.)

We'll adopt this countermeasure until the "charge up-front" option becomes available for AoiRemArt. When it happens, things like the one that happened tonight shouldn't occur again.

Please let us know if something is wrong and/or you can't access the contents you're supposed to see or if you can't find the passwords on you Patreon's mailbox. Once again, we're sorry to have to do this, but it has been proved to be necessary.

Thank you, and have a nice day!
