Art Update No. 13 (Patreon)

Gunwild: This is a proto-Talps... or maybe Slig-Lu? Anyway, felt right due to the Christmas coloring.

Psu: Oh man it's side cut Talps... actually you probably are right that it's Slig-Lu because I think I formed Talps on the page she appeared on. They probably share lots of visual traits because both ultimately were answers to the question "Can you make a blob that's cute and sexy?"

Psu: This might be Talps because of the prototype House Poolg symbol on her collar and she doesn't have the cheek plates that Slig-Lu wears either. But Talps ended up not having the "side cut."

Gunwild: It's an experimental prototype! Anyway, the coloring giving that blush is nice. This gloop paved the way for the others.

Psu: It's too bad we never really fit Slig-Lu into the story, at least not yet. She was the first really completed Vanaa character design we had, and the art of her on my Tumblr actually ended up being pretty popular before the comic had even launched. Specifically it was fans of "slimegirls" sharing the picture and she shared more in common with classic slimegirl pictures with the droopy hair and everything that a Vanaa might not let droop so much.

Psu: But honestly, Talps ended up sharing a lot of the visual traits from Slig-Lu without totally taking all the parts of the character so we could still introduce Slig-Lu at a later date. I'd probably just change her goo color and accentuate her unique collar style. There's still time!
