Gunwild: I'm glad Dune is more read than ever now, have I mentioned that? Classic.

Psu: I'm pretty sure a size-able number of the comic page quotes you hide in the image descriptions are from Dune. Or at least I assume they're from Dune. I actually don't know where you get most of your quotes...

Gunwild: Many are from Dune, that's true. It's very quotable... but something spicy from space, what else could I say, but that it lets you see the future?

Psu: I'm always a little spooked by beings that can see the future because the implications are that the future has already happened. There is even some science to that. But let's not get into that sorta thing here. This is largely a silly page with silly things happening. I think Otis died, too.

Gunwild: No man can survive this level of spice... nice of Maks to cook, though. Anyway I could have just given the fictional hot sauce a Scoville unit number for its spiciness! But much like putting weight in shmoons, I think expressing measurements in fictional units leaves it nice and open to comedic interpretation. "Takebe" was the surname of Asahi Takebe from No Need for Tenchi, by the way, who was the first sci-fi character I could think of who always wants food spicy.

Psu: Don't we also have starship metal hardness measured in Michael Dorns?

Gunwild: The "Dorn Scale" is named after Michael Dorn, who portrayed Worf, who is tough. And also Rogal Dorn, the Warhammer 40,000 character most obsessed with fortification.

Psu: I like our route that we went with sci fi numbers because putting a specific number in a scale that real people uses, just invites people to over analyze stuff on what is for us here a one off joke. I think. Maybe Redshift Reaper IS going to be a major plot point in the future. Who can tell?

Gunwild: Well, if the space orphans spike the malts of Commander Feti's crew, it may be considered an act of chemical warfare...

Psu: That's one way to get past her Starship's Worfs.

Gunwild: Personally I don't need more than a little, I'm not very brave about spiciness!

Psu: Except with your writing. I've seen your spicy stuff. It has to rank at least a few Takebes.
