Art Update No. 252 (Patreon)

Psu: I did not fix the leg yet... I was having a very pleasant time with my family and it was a nice sunny day in their backyard which is great and I'm jealous of it. Anyway so I says to gunwild, this might be an okay opportunity to talk about our current storyline some more and how it came about.

Gunwild: Is the desire for sunniness why we needed to do a beachy-themed chapter?

Psu: I think that's a part of it. I know I kinda started joking about having a "beach episode" for this summer after we were both vaccinated and things started looking up for a while. And like... hey it'd be an excuse to have some characters in fun swimsuits. But then Gunwild went and had to do the hard work of finding an actual story in that, apart from me saying what if... "It's not actually a beach episode, Cassiopeia Quinn!"

Gunwild: Well, sneakily, we also realized it had been a long time since Cassiopeia was directly featured in the comic that bears her name. Maybe she was avoiding a space pandemic, I dunno! Or her goofy nature was simply hard to conjure up in those, uh, historic months.

Psu: To be sure... while a lot of time had physically passed it was only so many pages. I'm afraid I'll have to ask your forgiveness for that again. But anyway, I think Gunwild was the one who found something to do with Feti aaaaaand maybe a few other characters we haven't gotten to yet.

Gunwild: MAYBE. It's still good to introduce a plot-important detail in a seemingly only tangentially-related fashion, right? Are the kids still into that? You hang out with more of them than I do.

Psu: Because it's not a beach episode! I think the original version of the story was much simpler though. Okay well not a lot simpler but we found a way to add some more of our favorites into it. We just figure it's a good idea to check on Cassiopeia, see if she's not causing any trouble. I'm planning on making this a page update soon but figured it's a cute little preview.

Gunwild: Previews are good, people like previews.

Psu: I think Peia might need to change to a top that doesn't actually have her nickname on it if she wants to stay "incognito."

Gunwild: Now we just have to decide; what would her sneaky I'm-Definitely-Not-Cassiopeia Quinn name be?

Psu: Ooooh. Oooh. I got one. What is the name of the Cassiopeia constellation as named by other cultures?

Gunwild: To Wikipedia!
