Psu: Oh this is a good looking page.

Gunwild: I was thinking Ashley would dress as an angel for Halloween, but once you thought of the cinnamon buns within horns thing we couldn't pass this up.

Psu: It was way too perfect. Figuring out what a "President" would look like for Nizka was a bit of a challenge. Did we both agree that Maks wasn't just a chef but Chef Excellence? 

Gunwild: Totally Chef Excellence. He's a bit of a meme thanks to those Ashens videos we like so much... anyway I've never actually had sweet pumpkin white chocolate caramels But I remember we were thinking of what she could have for them, and that sounded good to us. At least hypothetically.

Psu: Well it was a lot of nice sounding ingredients put together in a row. That's how cooking works, right?

Gunwild: It's how it works in that Zelda game everybody likes...

Psu: I had quite a bit of fun with these costumes. I think Nisa taking after Zeke is pretty good but Otis, we've officially named him Otis now, as Sat was a pretty good move. The Vanaa "pumpkin pails" are one of my favorite details, which we used in a guest strip pinup for Miss Melee once. So it was fun bringing them back. But I gotta ask, would a Vanaa find that ghastly?

Gunwild: Well, my thought was that Vanaa don't really have a concept of ghosts. That was why when Nimoo rolled himself in sugar and 'dressed' as one for a previous Halloween strip, I had him actually explain the concept so it would be scary. "Self has re-congealed... from total dispersal!" I think it went.

Psu: Total classic Nimoo. A couple story telling points, this was the second time we've visited Vraxiopeia in terms of the Cassiopeia timeline. We're purposefully vague about the timeline of events but I did want to make it look like Vraxiopeia saw SIGNIFICANT advancements. I figured given the right amount of space technology, building a small suburban downtown area wouldn't take a long time.

Gunwild: Well, more than the second, really, but yeah. It's a boom town! And all because they were given some chances by good people.

Psu: It is still kinda a new colony though. I wonder just how many kids are actually in town? This might be, at least at this point sorta like a lot of younger workers came but didn't have kids yet. So ya know, seeing the kids going around trick or treating might be a special occasion. All the other folks are at grown up Halloween parties...

Gunwild: What are grown-up Halloween parties like? I usually just spend the holiday at home eating candy instead of giving it to kids.

Psu: Sometimes someone goes as a Sexy Witch and/or Sexy Unlicensed Figure in Popular Culture.
