Gunwild: Sometimes it's hard to be a good caregiver, okay?

Psu: I think I told you recently about why I don't like roller coasters. Basically I waited with my cousin for like... what felt like forever to get onto this cheap roller coaster at this sketchy park. I don't remember which one, I was a tiny kid. And we were let on even though we were too small to ride. My cousin just snuck us by. And when we got on the safety bar didn't go all the way down. And so I spent the next minute mortally terrified. I think that's what happened with this kiddos.

Gunwild: I'm sorry you were traumatized, I'll avoid making fun of you about it. But luckily Cassiopeia and them all survived to hug it out, right?

Psu: Eh, we're old fogeys now. I'm sure we've both had our share of near death experiences. But yeah, Cassiopeia probably gives decent hugs. Wait does she? She doesn't hug too many people except a dude made of hardened alloys.

Gunwild: That just strengthens her hugging abilities, like those martial arts masters who strike metal every day to increase their strength!

Psu: Speaking of martial arts masters. Look at that awesome Cyborg Cassandra Cain over there in panel 3.

Gunwild: You mean look at that awesome LEGALLY DISTINCT CHARACTER WHO ISN'T CASSANDRA CAIN FROM DC COMICS cyborg!

Psu: Ahem. Well anyway. Did we discuss just exactly how much "flirting" was okay? Did this count at all as flirting? Or just paying each other some nice compliments?

Gunwild: Well I mean can you think of a compliment Cassiopeia would appreciate more than one about her patoot?

Psu: MORE than one about her patoot? Maybe uh... Cassiopeia why are you so unquestionably loveable and never do anything to harm anyone or put them in danger?

Gunwild: Yeah, but that would require lying, and honest compliments are better!

Psu: That's kinda Zeke's thing. He's pretty honest with her.

Gunwild: Nice "BAM, CRUSHED IT!" pose in panel 4 by the way. I haven't done that with my arms in a long time...

Psu: You could hurt your shoulders like that. Oh hey, we're probably gonna close out this commentary in a bit. Just some notes on the design and colors. Basically since I knew it was gonna be all like... "oh Cassiopeia we were super scared" I had all the tones be very somber in the bottom panels. Even the color on the colorful kids is a bit more toned down. 

Gunwild: Yeah it was setting up a nice pleasant mood with the magic hour lighting in the first three panels and then it really shifted...

Psu: Nothing's more impactful than going from happy to sad in an instant!

Gunwild: Yeah, I've stubbed my toe while running to dinner, too.

Psu: I once dropped half a good blt on the floor...
