Psu: We don't draw these characters nearly enough.

Gunwild: I don't love how exposition-heavy this strip is instead of being emotional, but the faces are good. And I would in fact read that book about that doggy.

Psu: I think it was a worth while aside trip though. They're important characters to the overall story but kinda hard to fit them into the moment to moment events. This tells us a lot about the both of them.

Gunwild: We'll have to do something similar again, soon... ya know, I think drinking tea while you do war stuff is pretty normal in the Regency Navy. Except for Commander Feti. She probably drinks espresso.

Psu: We might need to see more of Senchel. I think he comes up so rarely I forget how we're supposed to spell his name. But his relationship as Maddy's mentor is one that would be great to explore more, and soon.

Gunwild: I agree. And it'll come up. OH, WILL IT COME UP. Also, did you know that the man himself pronounces it "Steve Bu-semi" instead of "Steve Bu-shemi?"

Psu: Semi? Like a Semi truck?

Gunwild: Well, people pronounce that different ways. But apparently it's "Boo-semmy" - I'm not surprised, lots of families who come to America differ on whether to pronounce their names with an anglicized pronunciation or not. But hey, I've seen Boardwalk Empire. And I'd never boo that Steve Buscemi!

Psu: Anyway, speaking of exposition, I'm assuming our readers here have kept up with the story. I forget, is this the first time we mentioned in the comic that Maddy was promoted after her predecessor died? This forms the basis for "Past the Edge" much later in the comic but we discussed this only sparingly before hand.

Gunwild: Yes, it is. It's been backstory from the beginning but this is the first time we got to drop it in.

Psu: Like a big ol heavy exposition weight!

Gunwild: I'm still trying to learn subtlety...

Psu: All the subtlety of a Bu-semi.

Gunwild: Honk honk!
