Gunwild: I like that first panel, it'd make a good desktop background or something.

Psu: Snoot.

Psu: It's a really pretty page, I think. The colors are all alien and very science fictiony. I don't get to play with light all the time but here with the atmospherics from being under water and just being under a cloudy sky, I think it looks rad.

Gunwild: I understand why people whisper in submarine movies when they're trying not to be detected, but it's really, really dumb that they do it in space films. Like the Wing Commander movie.Where they try to whisper so they're not heard by people in another ship THROUGH THE VACUUM OF SPACE.

Psu: Look, don't mention the Wing Commander movie to me. It brings up bad memories and disappointment. Anyway, subtle things. We don't see a lot of this adventure from Zeke or Cassiopeia's perspective. I think we do just enough to show that they're having a dangerous adventure as much as Madison and crew have. But we needed to have them achieving their real goal without pointing it out to the audience. So in their slower moments, I would try to show Zeke moving cannisters of stuff which comes into play later. And there's Skript Kitty making sure to copy some stuff down.

Gunwild: Yeah, that's a small thing, but maybe people on a re-read would notice that he's taking notes and Zeke is taking vats o' gel.(edited)I like comics that reward re-reads. Although even more than that I'd like it if people notice little things and wonder that and then feel the payoff later.

Psu: Maybe I should've made that vat have a glowing part but I think it's nice that we didn't call direct attention to it. The current perspective story ISN'T about how Cass and Zeke manage to steal the real prize but it's about the chase.Gosh, I'm still just thnkin bout how nice this page came out. I'm a little iffy on the experiments with the inky black lines on Gleb and inside the ship. I didn't use them much after this. But there's still an element to them that I like. It especially looks good on Cassiopeia's gloves.(edited)

Gunwild: Surprised Maddy isn'd doing more of a Picardface as she says "Make it so."

Psu: I think she worries it could be a bad decision too but is low on options. It's a big planet and since they're down to visual scanning, it'd be too easy for the smaller faster ship to slip away.

Gunwild: I wonder if people care to know that I'm trying to include some more "big, sci-fi-ey" images like these in the next script or two.

Psu: We have been subtle sci fi for a while. We need our Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets type stuff or else we'll never get our movie deal.

Gunwild: Yeah, and then how am I gonna pay for this white 1986 Ferrari Testarossa?
