A first look at our soundtrack! (Patreon)

Hi patrons!

We have something special to share with you today, and that's a chance to see (or listen to) the first song we've completed for the game!

If you've played up to now you've heard music we've pulled from free libraries. They're better than simply silence the whole way through, but they're not very memorable or suited to our characters and settings. That's why we've solicited the help of  Will "Ultigonio" Bowerman to compose a soundtrack for the game. Will is a talented musician and game developer in his own right who you can find at  ultigonio.itch.io

He's been playing through the game just like you and is using it as inspiration for creating themes. The first one to be used in the game is the theme for Barlow's Books, one of the most prevalent settings in the game so far. You'll be able to hear it in the release this month, but in the meantime you can preview it here! We've also included early versions in the attachments to this post so you can see how it evolved over its development.
