Tier & Workflow Changes (Patreon)

Starting immediately, I am phasing out, at least temporarily, the $25 and higher tiers. It's all for positive reasons though so let me explain...

First, I'll be doing more bird work. I've had a big resurgence in requests for my veterinary skills in wild bird research work. Also, with COVID waning, I'm looking at doing more wellness bird clinics at the local pet bird rescue center. To this end, I'll spending some of spare time fixing up the exam/treatment room over there in April. It has moldy ceiling tiles, filthy carpeting that can't be kept clean, no dedicated exam table, poor lighting, and no cabinets. My husbird and I have already purchased cabinets and flooring (~$1k) and I raised almost $600 last weekend to put into the project. Last but not least, I have at least two scientific papers I need to complete this year. They've been a major thorn in my side for a long time and as soon as that thorn is gone, I can commit a lot harder back to fun art projects.

As far as doing creative things, my emphasis will shift over to completing commissions I've already committed to as well as getting Whiterock edited and published and making some new art for it. Editing begins in May and will cost about $3k (I've already deposited $1k). I may start a gofundme style campaign to help with that. However, if you'd like to donate in the meantime, PayPal me over at aetus@aetusart.com. I won't stop making art, but there will be much less bird porn this year (sorry!).

As far as subscriptions here, you can still elect to donate more than $10 and any pledges that are at $25 or $50 will not automatically terminate. It will be up to you to change your pledge. I'm sorry this announcement is so late in coming so if you miss this and decide you need a refund, let me know by April 10th and I'll do it.

Thanks to all of you for your support. It's been a great time doing lots of bird porn for you all and I've made so many good friends in the process. I promise not to stop, I'll just be shifting my resources for a while. Stay moist!
