Experiment 641, Subject: Self, Notes as follows...

Diary Entry: Day 0

Today marked the inception of a bold endeavor, an experiment poised to push the boundaries of human physiology. With the goal to enhance muscle function, I had initiated an intricate process involving the integration of slug DNA. Slugs, with their remarkable muscle coordination that allows them to glide seamlessly, were the perfect candidates for this genetic venture. The objective was simple: harness the slug's muscular prowess to potentially enhance human muscle efficiency and endurance.

The procedure itself was non-invasive, using a specially designed viral vector to introduce the slug DNA into my system. Initial responses post-injection were uneventful; however, a few hours later, I began to observe the first unexpected side effect.

In stark contrast to the intended muscular enhancements, I noticed a pronounced enlargement of my mammary glands. The rapid swelling was both surprising and disconcerting, bearing no clear relation to the anticipated outcomes of muscle improvement. This unanticipated side effect wasn't accompanied by pain, but a mild sensation of fullness and tension.

As the day concluded, I documented this anomaly in detail, hoping to gain insights and perhaps even reverse the process if needed. While this side effect was not what I had aimed for, I was committed to understanding its cause and navigating the complexities that might arise. After all, scientific endeavors often lead to unexpected paths, and I was prepared to venture down whichever one this experiment might take me on. The journey had just begun.
