Weekly Anime Comics - MACROSS WINS! (Patreon)

AND WE HAVE A WINNER!  After a tight race with Cowboy Bebop, I can officially announce that Super Dimension Fortress Macross is officially our next Weekly Anime Comic series!  Thanks to everybody who voted!

Now for some quick housekeeping: First off, obviously, Macross comics aren't actually starting JUST yet, since I still need to wrap up Slayers Next.  What's more, I'll be doing a few pages based on Neo-Tokyo as well, and I'm honestly not sure if Macross will overlap with that or not.  I know I won't START the Neo-Tokyo stuff until after Slayers is fully squared away, but since it's just one big movie, I'm not sure how the workflow will be different from covering a series one chunk at a time.  But one way or another, Macross will be starting soon!

And speaking of which, I do want to reiterate something I already said back on the poll: I'm specifically committing to Super Dimension Fortress Macross here, not Robotech.  So no English dub, and no Southern Cross or Mospaeda... or maybe not?  See, I actually do own both the shows that were awkwardly turned into Robotech's later arcs, so I theoretically COULD put them up for the next vote once the first run of Macross is done... but I could just as easily put some of the ACTUAL Macross sequels up for the vote as well.  This could be your chance to watch me suffer through Macross 7 for the first time in a looooooong time, and I can pretty much guarantee it'd provoke more snarky reactions than sleeping through Southern Cross. Or maybe Macross Delta, which I actually haven't seen at ALL yet.  There's a lot of options here, is what I'm saying.

Also, just for anybody clicking over here from any other place on The Internet: the usual Weekly Anime Comic release schedule will apply here as it has in the past.  Patreon gets everything first, then I'll post the comics everywhere else after four to six weeks.  So if you want your Minmay content right way, now's the time to become a patron!  You only need to be signed up for a dollar a month to see all the comics!
