...and no, I'm NOT going to put the Jenna comics on hold while I do the new set of Far Out There MadLib comics... because these come out so rarely that the amount of time that would actually be saved by NOT doing them is negligible.

This may just be my personal preference, and neither option** is appealing, but if I had to choose I'd MUCH rather something had crawled into my ear and died than crawled in and STILL BE ALIVE!! :o **disclaimer: ignoring for now the fact that, the FOTverse being what it is, a dead whatever-it-is now raises the specter of an UNdead zombie whatever-it-is, which would, admittedly, be the worst of the 3 options

I look at it in terms of the uncertainty being the part he's worried about. He THINKS it died... which means he's actually not sure about it either way, which does seem to lean towards your option three.
