Conventional Wisdom: Otakon 2016 - page 4 (Patreon)

This is one of those things I'd been meaning to do for a couple of years, especially once Otakon started holding a few events in the Hyatt ...which is probably why it felt so underwhelming when I finally got around to doing it.  The more time you sit and think about how big and huge and impossibly sprawled out a con is, the more average it'll feel when you finally try to make the "epic journey" all the way across in one go.  Then again, I also waited until late night before making the trip, which may have contributed.  Getting caught in the crowd congestion at peak hours can make a place feel a lot bigger than it actually is.  If I'd tried to get from one end to the other at noon on Saturday, it could have taken over half an hour.
