Weekly Anime Comics: Slayers - page 13 (Patreon)

I mean, this sort of thing comes up a LOT when you need to balance the practical need of the bars to restrain a character with the artistic need to actually SEE the character clearly.  For some reason, though, the added wrinkle of the shoulder pads just makes it that much funnier to me.  Like, now I have to go from wondering why she doesn't squeeze through the cage to thinking about why she doesn't get stuck in MORE things.

Also, just for the record, this was the alternative to about a DOZEN different jokes about Amelia's easily bamboozled nature.  All of them were topical, and all of them would have left SOMEBODY profoundly butthurt.
