This is smart, clever, satirical pop culture parody, right here.  And if you think it's too obvious, well, my other idea for episode 6 was to draw Rezo and Zelgadis appearing on an episode of Jerry Springer.  An obvious Star Trek joke was ABSOLUTELY the better option.
