MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Yeah, you KNOW something's going on when I totally pass up a chance to do a Christmas comic, especially when the time of year almost lines up like this.  But no, I can't let this slide.  Cardcaptor hasn't pulled this trick as often as some shows, but the whole "everybody passes out so they don't see the magic at work" gimmick happen a lot across anime as a whole... and it bugs me every single time.  Like, not ONE person ever gets injured when they suddenly fall flat onto the pavement?  Not one person was driving a car in the area of effect?  And it's especially bad to think about here in the amusement park setting.  Ain't nobody putting a roller coaster to sleep!  Yeah, I know, I'm thinking too hard about this stuff, but it's one of those situations where the show is just asking for it by trying to get too clever in the first place.  I mean, we've already gone most of this season with the everyday muggles just not noticing the magic at work.  Why draw attention to the fact that you don't want to draw attention NOW?

And speaking of seasons, this officially wraps up the first season of Cardcaptor Sakura!  What comes next?  Well...
