There's two things about asking me comics-related questions in person: First is that asking me ANYTHING in person is a risky venture, since speaking out loud for me is a bit like running a marathon on my hands while juggling chainsaws with my feet. It's fairly unnatural, and requires a lot of preparation beforehand. But even after that, I tend to give random people the former non-response specifically to spare them from the latter. It's a given that most people will NEVER find the nuts and bolts of my obscure webcomic anywhere near as fascinating as the one guy who actually draws it, so I try to avoid dumping Too Much Information of random passersby wherever possible. Unless you SPECIFICALLY ask to hear it (or are reading a sufficiently obscure page as only a sufficiently invested person would bother to see in the first place), in which case God help you.
Oh, and those with good eyesight may notice my "Here's Why I Don't Do Artist Alley" explanation starts to go in a very different direction that the 2,509,813 other versions of that spiel I've given this year. That's actually a sneak peak at an upcoming blog post (though I won't post the final version until I've had a chance to do a few other, LESS self-pitying blogs first)
