Hey Hi Howdy patrons and everybody else,

I just wanted to give a quick update for the content schedule, since we've nearly finished all the content we talked about last time we updated what was happening. So here's the gist first of all: last time the plan was quite tight because we had a big break over Christmas to get ready, this time it's looser because we're right in the middle of things.

This month I'm releasing Rewatching the Watchmen (available in text form for $3+ patrons) which is a pretty standard Curio Media Analysis essay. I'm gonna be comparing the Watchmen comic book with its on-screen adaptation, the 2019 TV Show by HBO.

Next month is my video about being non-binary, which has been in the works for a long long long long long time, and as such, as the time approaches the work I'm doing for it gets more and more intense - namely, we're doing a BUTT TONNE of illustration to replace the montage of filming I had planned that we can't get out and do because of the quarantine. After Rewatching the Watchmen is out I'll be working very hard on that and there won't be anything else up until then, even shorter projects, because we'll be so flat out here, and also because it'll be my birthday (June 5th) right in the middle. Speaking of, we're saving for a gaming PC! If you wanna help you can donate and tell me that's what it's for at http://paypal.me/buycuriobiscuits

After that, we will have breezed right on through the 6 month plan for video projects, and into UNCHARTED TERRITORY AAAAAA SPOOOOOOOKY but don't worry, I have some projects lined up, just no strict timeline to speak of.

July & August: I've been rewatching The Witcher on Netflix. I've also been playing The Witcher games. I've also been reading the original Witcher Saga books! Across July & August I wanna release 3 full essays about each of those Witcher properties - the show, the games, the books, in that order. I don't have set release dates for those yet but I do have titles:
Part 1: The ballad of Himbo Geralt
Part 2: The ballad of Horny Geralt
Part 3: The ballad of Geralt the Bastard.

September onwards: I've been playing, and taking down some thoughts about, a LOT of great games recently. I've started scripts for The Outer Worlds, Night in the Woods, Alan Wake, Cloudpunk, VtMB, and one about TTRPGs and communism, and I've got more ideas that I haven't laid out besides that. This is what I mean about the loose plans. If I decide I'm going ahead with it, I think a Vampire-themed halloween episode about VtMB, VtMR, VtMCoNY and related VtM properties could be really fun, but who knows if I will? I kind of liked the idea of doing a series on Remedy's games specifically or maybe just one big Remedy episode.

I'm very likely going to get Cyberpunk and having played a LOAD of the Cyberpunk TTRPG and since I'm doing this Witcher series (same developer, CD Projekt Red), I'm quite drawn to the idea of making a vid about it, but I can't promise that, since I have no idea what the game will be like yet.

I've also decided I want to put my 6 years of professional programming experience together with my creative tendencies and make a GAME. I don't have many details I can talk about yet, but that's something I'm gonna give updates on in future. Ideally I'd like to release things early to patrons relating to that alongside my video stuff, since you all, y'know, keep me alive in order to be able to do creative stuff. I'll let you all know what is happening with that and when.

So, as I said, the schedule is very messy and incomplete right now, and a part of that is that I want to know what everyone is interested in, so please leave comments telling me what you're most keen to see from me, and even feel free to make suggestions - a lot of my videos at this point have come from games people suggested I should check out to write about, so I don't hate suggestions.

Other than that, hope you're all well, and I'm looking forward to seeing how my Watchmen and Enby vids are received.

Cheers,
Enc
