Please excuse the dramatic title; I suddenly had an urge to parody the title of an episode of a shonen anime! This will be a short little update, as there’s not all that much to say yet.

Here’s a brief version: I have a friend who has been doing colorations of existing works and sketches for commissions on and off over the years. Just the other day, me and a group of friends went out to grab some food and he casually mentioned in conversation that he has been using Clip Studio Paint for a couple of years now. Since this is a program that I currently need to learn alongside Live2D Cubism, he said he’d work with me to get me up to speed on the basics (I already have some Photoshop experience, which I hope will carry over). However, the potentially more interesting part is that he agreed that we could collaborate regarding producing animations!

Without getting into the technical details (which, at this point, I admit to having a limited understanding of…which I plan to change soon), Live2D operates using .PSD files, which are Photoshop files that can also be used in programs like Clip Studio Paint. Essentially, individual parts of the character need to be indicated (i.e. breasts, nose, mouth, eyes, etc.) to animate them in Live2D. Essentially, the idea we had is that he could help with the segmentation process, while I could work on the animation side.

While this is still in the very early stages of planning and I am still learning the software, I also consider this a platform to share updates and thoughts. For me, the potential of taking a static image (for example, a reverse cowgirl sex image) and animating it is super exciting and will allow me to go from producing good content to (hopefully) exceptional content! While I advise you to keep your expectations in check for the time being, I hope that this will give you a better idea of some of the content I’d like to produce moving forward!
