This collection of five NPCs is built to drop into a royal court setting! Each character has a description, personality traits to aid in roleplaying them, and a quest hook your players can learn about from them. (Each also has a portrait that I spent way too long Photoshopping from stock images 😅) Download the PDF here.

Because they're awesome! :-) I particularly like Valtair. That image just exudes badassery. Not the brute, "I'm going to beat your face in," kind of badassery, but the mastermind, "I'm going to utterly destroy you and everything you love, and you'll never be able to prove it was me ... but you'll know," kind of badassery. I think Valtair is going to be one of those ambivalent/ambiguous characters in my campaign. Sometimes ally, sometimes patron, but always with the sense that they're not telling everything they know and are using the party for their own--possibly questionable--ends.

I love that!! Yeah, I chopped off some random bearded guy’s head and added a new head that I thought really embodied the controlled, unreadable vibe I wanted for that character.
